Baby fever struck me.

My son is 17 months today and I am already feeling the baby fever.

What is 'baby fever' you ask? It's the feeling of wanting to have another baby. Everything makes you want another baby from commercials to types of food. And I have it! Oh no!

I am a 25 year old single mother. Why do I think having another baby would be a good idea right now? Well, I don't. I was having this conversation with a good friend of mine who has wanted a family so bad since he was a little boy. So, he understands my dilemma seeing as though he is also single, but has no kids. LOL. 

Anyway, It will be a few more years until I actually have another bambino running around pulling my hair and wishing I could get more sleep. :)

My friend Rebekah's baby shower is this Sunday and I can't even begin to say how ecstatic I am for her. This is what she has wanted her whole life and I stood by her and listened and supported her when she was struggling in the baby making department. Can not wait to hold baby Bradley in my arms and tell him all the adventures his momma & I used to have. 

There we are in our younger days. <3 I love her so much. The strength of this woman totally blows my mind. 

If you ever read this, Beka, I want to let you know how much I love you and that I will always be here for you whenever you need me. I am incredibly happy that you finally have the little family you have always wanted. Our friendship will remain strong until our dying days.

Hair, Handbags, and Freebies!

Sorry, I have not posted in a while. My mind has been jumbled lately. 

Anyway!

Let's talk about wins! These are my two most recent 'big' wins and usually when I use the term 'big', it means pricey.

That bag is seriously the best bag I have ever owned. It is so roomy inside and totally doubles as a diaper bag. I can fit EVERYTHING in there! I will definitely be buying from them from now on. 

Sometimes I wish I could remember to take pictures or write down the things I win and freebies I receive in the mail because I am real proud of it. Call me coo-coo-cachoo but, I don't care. When you find what makes you happy, you stick to it. :) 

Some freebies I have gotten recently would be laundry soap, Strivectin serums, toothpaste, razors, moisturizer from Olay, mouthwash, and a keychain. This is the stuff of the top of my head right now.

March for Babies!!

Very excited to be doing the March of Dimes walk Saturday, April 14th! 

I decided this weekend or next, I'd put my crafting skills to work making tie dye shirts for all of my family & friends attending. FYI: I have never tie dyed anything in my life so this should be interesting. Isn't it kind of 'idiot proof' anyway? ;)

The minute I found out I was pregnant, I threw myself into the pregnancy for dummies books & signing myself up for every class known to mankind. Of course, as I started reading, I knew there could be complications in pregnancy. I said to myself every single day as I rubbed my belly, "I hope this doesn't happen to me."

Personally, I do know some friends that have hard times getting pregnant, staying pregnant, losing their baby and, having stillborns. I have so much respect for them because they are incredibly strong to keep trying after that. 

This is why I want to do this walk. I want to meet the mothers that have had early baby deaths & premature babies. I'd like to raise as much awareness as I can about this cause. 

Our kids are our future. <3 Xo 

I'm a Winna!

Eli let me sleep an extra hour this morning. (YES!) 

He sat next to me the whole time & watched Sesame Street like the good boy that he is. 

Anyway, I woke up, kissed him, put a pot of coffee on, made the bed and, turned my laptop on like I do every morning. 

Don't you just love getting winning e-mails? Remember, those giveaway's you enter where there are so many entries that sometimes you think: "Yeah, right, I'll never win that." But, you go ahead and enter anyway? Me too. Well, I WON!

It's a 2g which is perfect for me because I am a bit of a camera nazi and I take tons of pictures and this is good to put some on and run to my local Walgreens to print pictures out for family members.

My first blog post! Eep!

I am very excited to share with you my first post. 

Not too sure how this works but, I am pretty excited to do this seeing as though everything interests me & I want to share my creations, ideas, recipes, DIY, EVERYTHING, with EVERYONE! :D

I guess I'll start with a little bit about me.

My name is Desiree & I am a full time mother to a 15 month old boy named Eli Moon! He is my world and reason for breathing. I have never seen a baby so smart, so willing to learn, and most importantly, so happy.
